The Founders Warned Us About Some One Some Time...Could Be Right About Now.

"The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation on the ruins of public liberty.
It serves always to distract the public councils and feeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions.
It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those entrusted with its administration to confine themselves with in their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all departments in one and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism.
If in the opinion of the people the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed."

George Washington’s Farewell Address

---------------------------------------------------------------------

FLAHR in, the name of a gold coin first made in Florence in the 1200's. The name comes from the Latin word for flower. The florin bore the imprint of a lily on one side, and the figure of Saint John the Baptist on the other side. The first English florin was issued as a six-shilling gold coin in the reign of Edward III (1327-1377). A Silver English florin worth two shillings was first coined in 1849.
[The World Book Encyclopedia]

This Is The USA. Love It Or Leave It

Pres. G.W. Bush read the papers every day. Watched the Televised News Media everyday.
The Left wanted to charge Mr. Bush with War Crimes.
The Left wanted to have Congress proceed with Impeachment.
The Left made a movie about Mr. Bush's assassination.
Did Mr. Bush complain about the Left Bloggers?
Did Mr. Bush complain about the news media stories, Dan Rather's documents of the service records?
Did Pres. G.W. Bush complain at all?
This must make Pres. G.W. Bush a more capable President than the current Commander in Whiner.
A week doesn't go by without Pres. Obama complaining about Fox News, or the Bloggers.
There were The Big 3 News Media ragging on President Bush. And don't forget NPR and Move On.Org.
Only one little ole Fox News bothers the current President.
If free speech is a problem, then there must be a resignation in the works.
This is the USA, Love It Or Leave It.

I think about this often. It certainly shows the class and difficult acceptance of the 1st amendment by the Republican, or at least GW Bush, as well as the total lack of class and fascist tendencies (at least) of the obamas.

Kid; you said it.
Lately I have heard about all the previous President's anger with the press. But no one has threatened free speech like this current Pres..
If you check the date on my post of Fascism, you will see Rush, Savage, Beck, and even some on NPR started using the comparison Of Fascist similarities of this new take over-- Change America In Their Image, about a week after my post.
If you remember, I asked everyone (a comment on Nickie's blog), to post this every time These Arrogant Dems. complained about Fox or us Bloggers. I guess I'll have to go it alone, as usual.
To bad though--If every blogger we know accross the country said Love or Leave It, every time they hoisted a complaint against Fox-or us bloggers- it would be scary to the Drive By's.

They Say. Thank you. Well, I suspect I'll say it in my own way at some point.

The libs are mindless dweebs that didn't/don't even understand the talking points they got from their masters in the media every day. You could tell easily when their faces went blank and they had to go back for directions when confronted with the least bit of reality on whatever the subject was. :)

Experience, or I should say Pain is the only thing that is going to teach them anything in the end.

Just going to try and keep my butt out of the chipper in the meantime and have some fun with the mindless dolts.
